    The final hand against the dealer

    Last weekend, I played blackjack online and something very curious happened to me. After playing for more than two hours, I realized I was running out of money in my pot. I had been so concentrated on counting the cards that I hadn’t paid attention to the chips I had left for betting.

    However, I decided to bet everything in the last game against the dealer. I had a 4 and a 6, a total of 10. The dealer had a 3. Since odds suggest that the next card will always be a 10, I decided to double my bet.

    Blackjack at tables

    Last weekend I had the chance to go to a real casino with my friend Pedro and sat down at a blackjack table because I didn’t feel like playing any of the variants of poker. I decided to start to apply a strategy which my grandfather had taught me and which can only be used at the tables (because online blackjack or computers didn’t exist when he played, not even TV sets I think; what a generation we have today).

    So my grandfather’s strategy consisted of betting 4 blackjack hands with minimum bets. If these 4 hands were lost, then we had to bet everything we had in the fifth hand.

    The mysterious blackjack

    Not so long ago, an online blackjack player whose nickname was “Nicho26” managed to get 26 blackjacks dealt in the first hand consecutively in 26 different online blackjack sites. We still don’t know how he achieved that but some web programming specialists say that the player could have created a type of interface to cheat the code of each site.

    This case became known in March 2010 when another player whose nickname was “Naruto5” tried to infringe the program settings of one of the most known online blackjack sites.

    One of the best tips for novices in the world of blackjack is that they should play the highest number of possible hands without trying any strategy or logical reasoning. They should just play, feel the game and be carried away by their fortune or the laws of chance.
